I'm just starting to learn Swedish. Which textbook should I choose?

We always recommend consulting your teacher when selecting learning materials.

However, if you want to start on your own, we suggest Rivstart A1/A2 as your first Swedish learning resource. It is probably the best series for learning Swedish and also our bestseller. This series allows learners to reach language proficiency levels quickly. Additionally, the publisher provides many extra materials, such as audio recordings, assessment tests, interactive online exercises, answer keys, and more.

Another popular textbook is Mål 1 with exercises. This is also a great choice for those who prefer to learn slowly at their own pace. The progression is slightly slower than in Rivstart.

How can I access additional learning materials for Rivstart, Mål, or Gilla svenska?

Go to nok.se.
Click "Mitt konto/Logga in" in the top right corner.
Click "Skapa konto" and enter your details. Confirm by clicking "Skapa konto" again.
Click "+Lägg till produkt" and select the book you are interested in.
Done!

The book I want to buy is marked as "expected delivery." When will it be available?

Books with this status are currently being restocked. This process typically takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the title.

• If you want to be notified when the book is available, click "notify me of availability" and provide your email address. You will receive an email notification once the book is back in stock.

How long will I wait for an individual order?

The standard waiting time for individual orders is no more than 10 business days. However, if the book is also a special order for us, the process may take up to 40 business days. We will always inform you by email about the estimated delivery time before you place your order.

Can I combine an order of in-stock books with an individual order?

Yes, in that case, it’s best to place your order via email.

Do you order books in languages other than Swedish?

Yes, we can order books and textbooks in Danish and some textbooks in Finnish. Check how to place such an order here:
